Shams Afzal brings extensive insight and knowledge to investing in global financial markets having served in various ascending capacities at a Fortune 500 company. His experience ranges from plant controllership of $100 million facility to financial consolidation of a $2 billion global division P&L. As a key member of the company’s Strategic Planning team, Shams helped craft the Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) section seen in 10-k filings of public companies.
Shams also brings a unique perspective on risk management and material deficiencies sometimes obscured in public financial statements. His exposure, as an Auditor, to Sarbanes Oxley law and U.S. GAAP application to operations in Russia, China, India and Western Europe gives him a strong foundation for global risk management for the modern portfolio. He is also trained in the Six Sigma discipline and is Green Belt certified, rounding off his skills in business process engineering, critical to internal PWC processes and optimal client service.
Shams Afzal is a graduate of The University of Toledo with a degree in Finance and minor in Business Law. He is married and lives in Perrysburg, Ohio.

Chris is a graduate of The University of Toledo with a degree in finance and accounting. He was part of the university's Student Managed Portfolio (SMP) class, which helped manage a part of the UT Foundation endowment from August 2008 to May 2009. He was also an active member in the Financial Management Association (FMA).
In 2005, Chris was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, and he worked at Smith Barney as an intern in 2008, providing research and portfolio analysis for two financial advisors. He is an active member of the Financial Analyst Society of Toledo (FAST).
