Susan Barry earned her BS and MBA degrees from Bowling Green State University, where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega social sorority. She began her financial services career in 1973 as a personal trust officer at the Toledo Trust Company before joining Private Wealth Consultants. She believes strongly in the power of education to enable people to take control of their lives, and particularly enjoys tackling the challenges others see as “too difficult.”
Susan’s community involvement has included board positions for The Catherine S. Eberly Center for Women, Historic Perrysburg, Junior League of Toledo, The Toledo Federation of Art Societies, Country Garden Club, and The Toledo Museum of Art, where she served as a docent for 15 years. A long-time Toledo resident, Susan has two children and two grandchildren and is a literature enthusiast whose favorite authors include Ayn Rand, Douglas Adams, and Haruki Murakami.
Christopher A. Henry
Chief Equity Analyst
Chris joined Private Wealth Consultants in November 2011. A 2009 graduate of The University of Toledo with a degree in finance and accounting, Chris was part of the university's Student Managed Portfolio (SMP) class, which helped manage a part of the UT Foundation endowment from August 2008 to May 2009. He was also an active member in the Financial Management Association (FMA).
In 2005, Chris was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, and he worked at Smith Barney as an intern in 2008, providing research and portfolio analysis for two financial advisors. He is an active member of the Financial Analyst Society of Toledo (FAST).
Chief Investment Strategist
Brenda started with Private Wealth Consultants in September 2000. She brings with her over 20 years of experience in client relationship management. As chief investment strategist, Brenda works closely with clients to identify individual financial goals and develop a portfolio strategy to help achieve those goals. She is responsible for maintaining proper asset allocation and diversification of each client's investment portfolio, as well as cash management, fixed income, and precious metals. Brenda is a member of the Private Wealth Consultants investment committee, which sets the investment policies and portfolio strategies that the firm follows in working on behalf of clients.
Brenda is an active member of the American Legion, where she holds the office of auxiliary secretary. You will find her working on community fundraisers sponsored by the Post as well as volunteering for the many fish fries and steak dinners they host throughout the year. In addition to her volunteer work with the Legion, Brenda enjoys spending quiet time with her family.
